DAY 5:  June 5, 2018
FLOW Day 5
  • Check in
  • Collective harvesting
  • Closing circle
Our final day together.  That incredible mix of sadness in an eminent departure and the joy of still having time to work on things together, to dig into what most matters to us and create a harvest for the wider community.

We began our day together with quiet journalling -- What has shifted in me?  What have I learned (and through whom)? What questions are alive in me now?  Then we broke into groups to continue the work of harvesting.  A large group met around the topic of "Loving Disruptions" after watching micro-aggressions during our time together. (Check back to see their harvest here and reflections on this work here.)  A subset of the AoH DNA conversation from the previous day's Open Space continued their work and you can read about it on the blog. Some people wrote their own pieces (see personal reflections here), while the Calling team worked on the process harvest,  A resources document was created for the wider community to add to.  Time seemed to fly by.

We came together for the last time in a closing circle hosted by Lina and Aerin Dunford.  There was simultaneously the feeling "has it really been five days?" and the sense we had been together for a lifetime at least.  We took the time to breathe together and to reflect on the journey. The Calling team breathed out. It has been challenging, and edgy, tough and beautiful.  We spoke to each other of gratitude, learning, breakdown and breakthrough, and the commitment to keep the fire burning in our practice, however that might look and whatever it might become.

A bow of gratitude to the center of the circle, where we keep our eyes on the fire.  And a bow to those at our backs in ways we know and ways we cannot imagine; to those who are walking their paths and doing their practice, wherever they are.  And those we have yet to meet.  It's time to call each other in.
Being conscious is not enough, this work demands intentionality.
